Private Assets AG opens an office in Paris

6.7.2023

Hamburg, 5 July 2023. The investment company “Private Assets AG” will open an office in Paris on 1 September 2023. The office is the first foreign Private Assets branch that at the same time represents the initial step towards building up European business. The French branch is additionally intended to serve as a template for the further European expansion of the Hamburg-based investment company.

Dr Björn Schlosser will assume management of the site as well as the development and supervision of the local investment portfolio. Schlosser has many years of experience in turnaround investments: After holding positions at Aurelius and Droege, he most recently worked in the Paris office of the investment company Mutares SE & Co KGaA.

“The French market, with its dynamic corporate landscape, is extremely attractive for Private Assets AG,” said Private Assets CEO Sven Dübbers, explaining the decision to locate in Paris. “In particular, France is a very interesting market for investments in particular situations. At the same time, the French corporate culture differs from other markets in important ways. That’s why it’s crucial for us that we were able to inspire Björn Schlosser, a very experienced colleague with many years of experience in France, to join our Company. A successful appearance requires proximity to the market and to the market participants”.

Dr Björn Schlosser added: “I am looking forward to contributing my experience to the international development of Private Assets AG, especially with regard to the special challenges of working with French companies. I am sure that we will be able to identify a number of interesting targets on the French market. Two things were particularly decisive for my switch to private assets: the extremely experienced and uncomplicated team and the convincing restructuring approach for the investments.”
