Daniel C. Grimm

As Executive Director (Executive Board) of Private Assets, Daniel C. Grimm is responsible for Investments and M&A. A law graduate with a specialisation in corporate and tax law, he studied at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and also completed the MBA programme at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.

He began his professional career in 2008 at McKinsey & Company, where he spent eight years advising banks and financial services providers on strategy, risk management and digitalisation. He then took on responsibility for expansion, business development and M&A in Germany and Austria at International Workplace Group (IWG plc), before becoming CEO of Haniel’s portfolio company KMK Kinderzimmer, a leading private nursery operator with around 50 sites in Hamburg and London.
Under his leadership, Daniel C. Grimm successfully implemented numerous growth initiatives and laid the foundations for the sustainable development of the businesses.
